Photo Update! 8 Months Old

As of March 8, Gretsch will be 8 months old! We can hardly believe this is the same little pup who came to live with us more than 5 months ago!

Peanut butter surprise!

His usual spot : )

Just had something tasty!

Toothy smile!

He loves his daddy!

More Photos!

Gretsch is now at 15 pounds at 7 months, and slowing down! Thank GOODNESS! I don't want him to get any bigger. Hopefully within the next few months he'll have more room to run! Maybe even a.... fenced in yard???

His "smile."

After a bath : )

Funny Gretsch videos!

Here are some recent videos we've taken of Gretsch. Both are very funny! One of his "after-bath-dance" and another of his "obsession" over the laser pointer.  : )

Recent Photos

With his hair cut. I think he looks more manly but Will prefers his shaggy longer look. I'm sure it will grow out in a month. At least we can see his collar now. And no more mats for mommy to detangle!

Such a cute face!

First Snow!

Gretsch is getting big, a whopping 13 pounds! He has lost almost all his teeth, and has lots of firsts, including his first snow! Lucky for him, it is the heaviest snow fall in Baltimore history! It started yesterday evening, and now we already have 15+ inches! Here are some photos from the day so far...

Getting used to the cold...

...and wind!

Gretsch is only so big! Buried by snow.

FUN FUN FUN!

Here is also a link to a YouTube video of Gretsch out in the powder:

4 Months...

Here to update! Gretsch has been teething, and has so far lost 4 teeth in the front, two of which I found in his crate! I've also caught some cute moments on the camera, so I wanted to share. He has gotten so big; he weighed 10.1 lbs today at the vet! He is too cute, and so is Will!

My lil' studio buddy

He would sit here for hours

Toothy smile!!!

Love the looks here!

He loves his Daddy!

"Puppy's Too Small"

Will found this children's book at Barnes and Noble, and we swear they copied Gretsch for the main character! Take a look for yourselves... it's pretty close!

Imagine Gretsch with his ears still down and floppy!

The Emperor's New Suit

It got cold out the other day, and he faces into the wind and just stands there. I put on this little number, he didn't like it at first, but then fell asleep in it. I guess he was comfy. He looks like he has a lion mane! Now a little over 3 months old and this sweat shirt is already "just fitting." !

Don't Grow up too fast, Gretsch!

Puppy Butt!

Put the camera away, Mom!

Paper Caper!

I just had to add this! The little one got a hold of the mail for the first time today...

Little bugger.

12 Weeks...

Gretsch is getting bigger! His hair is getting longer, those cute ears are starting to stand up, and he's biting harder! He's also running faster and gaining weight. He's now at about 5.5-6 lbs and getting heavier to tote around. He's been walking more when we go outside and me carrying him less. He is having less accidents too! I think his fur is getting redder. We have had him for four weeks now, boy does time fly!

Here are some recent shots!

One Ear Up!

Gretsch has gotten one ear to stand up! Isn't he cute? We sprayed the couch feet with bitter apple, but he just rolled in it and then rubbed it on us! Now everything tastes like bitter apple! That stuff is pretty nasty!

I still love his one floppy ear, and his fuzzy face!

...before the ear!

5 pounds!

Gretsch is getting big. He had another visit to the vet to get some more vaccinations and weighed 5 pounds... so he has grown .5 pounds in a week! I wonder how big he will get? I'm hoping about 17 or so... not too big please, he's too cute as little as he is. Still no #2 accidents in the house, and my gut is getting better at knowing when he has to go out. He knows "sit" so well I use it when he wants toys, treats, food, etc. He is very smart! I can't wait to see how he grows up.

9 Weeks

Here are some recent photos of Gretsch at his new home. He has been doing well. He has had only a few accidents in the house, none of which were #2. (knock on wood) He took to Will like a magnet, but is taking some time with Luna. He likes to yell at her with puppy barks, which causes her to go running to the safe haven of the desk chair. We're pretty sure he is sitting on cue (treat) , he's a smart little bugger! He has surely began teething, as our fingers and toes are sore.

I want that treat!

What are you lookin' at?

Let's play!

Hi Mom

There's No Place Like Home!

My Mom and I finally made the drive to VA to pick up Gretsch, what a trip! (Will was working : ( Luckilly we wore him out at the breeder's and he slept the entire way home! We did stop to give him some air and by golly he peed outside!!! He also slept through the night until 6 am, when he whined to go outside and we went out and peed again! So far (about 18 hours) no accidents in the house! He also pooed outside this morning after eating, so far hes been a very good boy and a little charmer!! Went for his vet check today and passed with flying colors! He saw a dog there that was much bigger than him!

Some photos of him home at 8 weeks, 3 days...

On the way home...

With a snack from the breeder...yummy!

Good News and Bad News...

We were really excited to pick up Gretsch this coming weekend, but something came up,

We won a free trip to LA!

It includes airfare, hotel and VIP tickets to a show, so we couldn't pass it up, not in this economy! Even though it's only three days, we're going to make it to the beach. Too busy this summer to make it, even once! Once we get back, school starts, and that friday (the 4th) we will be picking up Gretsch at Breezy Hollow Farm!  Waiting two extra weeks is going to suck, especially since the breeder will be busy and can't take photos : (

Here is a really cute one of him I haven't posted yet!
